I'm really glad I have that bottle of sriracha. Perfect for a stuffed up nose, which I unfortunately got today on the Symptom Lottery.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I saw Beloved Analysis Professor (Professor Poland) today.  He looked happy and like he'd lost a lot of weight.  Like he's thin, even... I liked him before, but if this is a sign of him doing better, then I'm really glad.  He also seemed more in control, lost his breath a little bit less, went on crazy tangents a little bit less frequently.

Now I just need to find one of him about 35 years ago X3

Did the radio show again, only today the main dude that usually leads it was absent so I had to partially solo the damn thing, had a blast, also got complimented on my voice, something I'm still getting used to (both the compliment and even more so the fact that it's about my voice which I find pretty horrible).

Not really, basically I co-host this up to two hour long show that is mostly messing around, cracking stupid jokes and making prank calls while having smooth 80's disco inbetween. And it's a free time kind of thing with the college supplying the equipment and the two rooms the studio is located in.

Happy Birthday Cript!
Did you put that in your age box, or does the forum do it?

Haha, these are quite brilliant. A guy thought what would some well-known films look like, and whom would they star, if they were made a generation or two earlier - and he made a bunch of posters for those films.
Great choices across the board. I especially like Christopher Walken as T-1000, James Dean in Rushmore, and havign Fritz Lang direct 2001: A Space Odyssey(that is, Odyssee im Weltraum, of course).
Lots of fun for film buffs.

Some of those look amazing (like Inception). Others are painfully obvious Photoshops, and not so good. Very funny concept all around.

Haha, these are quite brilliant.

Drive (which I haven't seen), starting James Dean, Eva Saint, Clark Gable, and Spencer Tracy?  All of my money.  The alternate Hangover and Avatar would be pretty good too.

Happy Birthday Criptfeind.

I did like all those classic movies made more classically. Truly awesome stuff. In an alternate reality, those would still be epic movies.
