Be sure to look before you leap.
In many parts of the United States and UK, straight edge is treated as a gang by law enforcement officials.[7]
Following the citation:
MacKaye continues: "Their issue is not sobriety. It's with violence. People with violence in the belly are in search of a trigger and way to get the violence out."

The outspoken musician is referring to the handful of militants who claim edge—called "hate edge"—where the straight-edge crews attack people for smoking or sometimes liken themselves as soldiers of sobriety.

I'm not saying I want to join, I mean that there's a group with both my ideals and respect for punk and that makes me happy.

This made me happy.

Yes, it's an official toy.  Also on deck:  Trixie, Vinyl Scratch, Zecora, and a Celestia who isn't pink.

Finally! At last, I won't get to see pink, ugly Celestias in my nearest toystore.

First reaction: Meh, this isn't so impressive.

And then I started zooming.

Pfft, can't even make out the small print on the tin of paint.

Alway, the vast majority of straight edge punks are not violent. The straight edge groups that were were mostly formed in cities with existent gang problems, for mutual protection, and against various neo-nazi groups that tried to sort of stage a hostile takeover of the punk scene in many places. Overall, though, its a distinctly non-violent movement.

Which tin of paint? You'll have to be more specific.  :P

Actually....holy shit. I *can* make out the rivets on some jeans hanging up on a clothesline. (center far-left, building to the right of that white high-rise on the left edge).

Also, fun little bit: Take a look on the far horizon, way over in the upper left. You'll see a skyscraper that looks like a giant lighthouse, with a beam of light pouring off the tip. That's actually sunlight reflecting off the glass panels, and being diffracted by Shanghai's godawful smog layer.

From the white, flat roofed building at the front, go back left to the one with the wee railing around the edge. There's an open tin of paint there. While the main text is legible (assuming you can read Thai(?)) the small print isn't. So get with more resolution.

Oh yeah, found it. The main text is in block Chinese print.
