That was pretty funny, although 25 is something that really did happen.

Due to me deciding to practice the trombone for once, I have discovered that my cat is more scared of brass instruments that woodwind instruments.

Some people may have seen the music that I've made linked on these boards.

This is an example of the arrangements I have done with Fruity Loops.

This is an example of the sound design I was able to do roughly three years ago with my Juno-G synth. Note that this was recorded through a crappy headset mic, and my physical recording equipment has improved since I first recorded it.

Today was the first time I was able to hook Fruity Loops into my Juno-G and was gifted with the sweet sounds of my synthesizer being controlled by my computer. There are some bugs to be worked out, and the process of tracking is a bit of a bitch, but I anticipate the my musical creations are only going to improve from here.

Here's to hours of frustrating effort paying off in the end.

Just worked my last day at my job (price adjuster at a market). Add to it, my co-worker treated me to lunch for celebration of moving on.

Gonna be nice sleeping in and enjoying the morning to afternoons of Wednesdays again (had enough with that day working nearly 12 hours (6 AM to PM) each week, along with every other work day (freelancing and scanning-wise)). Gonna have more time to work on some projects (personal and client-wise) and not have to plan my sleep and activity schedules around a work schedule on someone else's terms (entirely). Now that I'm moving on to more dedicated freelancing, I at least have more control over my work schedules.

At least unlike my past job leavings, I'm a bit more, and better prepared for, the post-unemployment. Should have an easier time transitioning since I also financially prepared myself better (along with already having a client I'm working with still which will pay off in due time guaranteed). At least unlike earlier while I had my job, I won't be taking on small jobs all the time ($5-$10, or a lucky $50, jobs that take 3-to-less than a day to complete (or mundane/time consuming edit 1000(or 10x as many) pictures crap work)) unless the job market sucks, which I am aware can be rather common. At least now without the support of the old job, I should be more motivated to take on larger tasks and better paying clients willing to pay a decent rate (provided mutually meeting each others' expectations). I've been working on my portfiolio in the meantime. So in case anyone is wondering, I'm not blindly jumping into this.

As a personal goal, I'll see if it's possible for me to meet at least my minimum wage from my old job, within the same time frame of maybe 2 weeks, and work up from there. At least as a warm-up goal to get adjusted to my new conditions. But for now, I'm going to enjoy my free time.
