You can still smoke in bars where you live?
You're still allowed to smoke in specifically designated areas, providing that the pub/club does have them.

So despite popular opinions bars aren't a good place to hold conversations.

I'm looking for some quiet time, one on one or small group conversation.
That's understandable, I'm a conversation guy myself. Still, I wanted to preach a little sermon on the positive values of hanging out in clubs and other places you wouldn't normally go to, but you probably don't really need that.

Edit: Speaking of determination, I WILL stealth Bleed. 7:22 long marathon song, here I go!
Every week, some friends and I do a marathon song challenge.

Week 1: Queen of the Dark Horizons by Rhapsody of Fire (13:14)
Week 2: Blood Bros - First Blood (39:18)
Week 3: Blood Bros - Heaven2Hell (45:28)
Week 4: Machu Picchu by Dschinghis Khan (7:07)
Week 5: Some crazy Russian techno song we found no information for (21:33)

Next one is this Sunday, still looking for a song. I'll check my high scores for those, if you guys want to challenge me.  ;D

To elaborate, I was running through the mountains today and happened upon a pair of cougars. Being in the middle of nowhere, I started sprinting towards civilization, almost 5 miles away. They chased me, but after a mile or so they tired out and I lost them. I swear I heard growling the whole way down the mountainside, though.
Alright, that is official righteous.  I'm not entirely sure running your ass off was your best option, but "holy shit run" is certainly always the first option.  And hey, it worked, that's what important.
I am indeed a big fan of being alive. What are some other good ideas? It seems that wildlife is starting to filter back in to the forests hereabouts, and while normally I would just avoid forests... they're everywhere. I usually run with a friend or two for the strength-in-numbers advantage.

You probably should disregard my previous whiny posts.
I was just frustrated about having been put in a group beyond my level of proficiency, like so many times before, because I always do poorly on placement tests.

Anyway, I was allowed to move to the best group today, which is challenging and fun.

But yes, I understand you. I was mostly talking about those cramped, loud and smoke filled night clubs. I don't mind spacious bars, where you have more of an ambience music, which doesn't hinder conversations. The same goes for coffee houses and similar locations.
So I'm not completely antisocial  :)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Got ahold of the 1986 claymation "The Adventures of Mark Twain". It deals with some themes common to Twain's writing, and has a number of cameos from his many characters. It's got a surprising amount of depth too, and more than a few dark passages... including one of the most interesting depictions of Satan I've ever seen.

Apparently, the film was inspired by the following Twain quote:
Quote
I came in with Halley's Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go out with it. It will be the greatest disappointment of my life if I don't go out with Halley's Comet. The Almighty has said, no doubt: 'Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.'

Hoping to stream it in 4-6 hours, provided I can finish writing the toast speech for my brother's wedding in the meantime.

Does the word "Huzzah" feature prominently?

It might be the sort of thing Mark Twain would say in the movie, yeah, but probably not for the Toast. Since the planets have aligned, lions are lying with lambs, and the Age of Aquarius has returned, it will be one of my rare serious moments. I'll be all suit-having and professional and crap... granted I'm wearing an exceedingly pink vest and tie, but yeah.

Went to see Casablanca. Old movies are fuckin great.
The dialouge is as artifical as today, but a lot more witty and classy.

On the way back we went to the Bunkier Cafe. Spacious and really great candlelit atmosphere.
Hot mead and cheesecake was a bit of an overkill, but I'm delighted nonetheless.
