Also in real life I get weird stares when I yell out "glompy whompy bear hugs of doom!" and throw myself at the other person.

That is totally acceptable on the internet and with my friends. I don't want to live in a reality where that is not the norm.
You mean, you don't do that kind of thing in real life?
... huh, go figure.

Just had one of those moments that makes me internally celebrate the thought that I'm doing something right as a parent.

On my lunch break:  Hiro (the 6 year old) selects an ice cream bar for dessert (his typical choice).  Grim (the 2.5 year old) selects a handful of candy corn (which we don't typically have around the house).  I don't think Hiro realized we had candy corn.  He devours his ice cream and then sits down on the couch with his DS.  Grim sits next to him to watch and Hiro notices his candy corn.

Hiro:  "Awww.... I wish I had some of those..."
Grim:  *concerned look... holds out a few candy corns*
Hiro:  "Thanks Grim!"  *hug*

Priceless.  Nothing reaffirms faith in humanity better than unsolicited kindness from a two year old.

A two-year-old named Grim, no less.

EDIT: Scout.

I finished Fullmetal Alchemist. That makes the second manga I have read in completion. I didn't like the ending, but the series as a whole was quite enjoyable.

I have a lot of books to read as well. I'm nearly finished with Deadhouse Gates. I'm reading Slaughterhouse Five for a class; after one class session, though, I'm a fifth of the way through. I also have Only Revolutions to finish, and The Reality Dysfunction and the Foundation trilogy. My re-acquaintance with the library makes me happy.

Cheese: Yuck.
Cake: My mortal enemy.

Cheesecake: Omnomnomnomnom. Nomnomnom. Omnom.

Screw you stomach I'm eating this anyway.

Cheesecake is a custard, IIRC. A very tasty one :]

Also, I've had the Dresden Dolls' Coin-Operated Boy for years, but I just heard Voltaire's parody, Coin-Operated Goi. I lol'd, but it's pretty impressive how true he stayed to the original.

And I'm thinking about the best way to ask this girl to homecoming. Always fun :)

Edit: Also, the song Nantes by Beirut always makes me want to cry. But it's a good sad.

I finally replaced the lame duster you get post Lonesome Road with a much cooler outfit in my opinion. Maybe Ill do the other versions of it (Wildcard, legion and old world versions) and actually release it later.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
