Just beat Super Metroid for the first time since I was, like, 14, and beat it for the first time without the reset glitch for the first time ever.

1:34 hours, 50%. Boo. Kinda sucks, especially since I completely skipped Spore Spawn and that huge backtrack you're supposed to do to get the power bomb and got the ice beam early.

This may be the finest hamburger I've ever eaten. The secret is that skeletal muscle is lame, and should have no place in my diet. So I don't think it will anymore, at least not as long as there's a friendly butcher within easy driving distance.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well his heart is in the right place.

Also: you really want to remain on good terms with your local butcher.

Yes. Yes, I do. I will see next time if they will accept extra money. They deserve it for this.

I will not dignify the puns with further puns.

Butchers are universally awesome. The one on my street corner has offered to import meats he doesn't usually order, just because I asked if he had any.

Theeeen became a pastor.

Would you say an organ-meat burger makes for a ... hearty meal?

I think the animal products in the burger are smart - well, at least 10% of them.

I went thrifting again today! This time, over the course of my lunch break, my goal was a coffee maker for the workplace. End result- a really nice Braun coffee maker for five and a half bucks and liquid fuel for our corner of tech support. Consider my "introduction of coffee to workplace" project complete- all that's left are peripheral details, like sugar and creamer.
Make sure you get powdered creamer, just in case you need to blow something up.

I was hoping for more organ puns, and you de-liver'd.

Powder can react very quickly with oxygen in the atmosphere because it has a huge amount of surface area to mass. Creamer, flour, oatmeal, etc are all carbohydrates made of carbon. Therefore, when powdered in the air, a spark can produce a sizeable explosion. It's a real risk in food factories that loose powder in the air might explode with a spark.
