I just spent about 3 hours sorting pieces of cardboard, most of which I paid for by selling other pieces of cardboard. Relaxing stuff. Right now, I'd have to say this is the main draw for me to this children's trading card game.

Later this week, I'll go give away the excess pieces of cardboard for free.
You know I'm pretty sure that trading cards are generally made from card rather than cardboard. Cardboard cards would be very difficult to store in any significant quantity.
I think you'll find it's a fairly inclusive term.

Also, BRB, driving south. I feel some sort of ominous pull, as if thousands of liquor bottles called out, and suddenly needed to be quaffed...

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Me and a bunch of friends went to see the The Amazing Spiderman 2 and then held a bonfire as an anti prom. Twas fun. We played ninja, helped one of us study for AP psych, discussed anime, shot a bow and arrow, roasted hot dogs, went to the park to play ghost in the graveyard, got flagged by the park ranger for trespassing. It was a good night.

Reading an excellent comic called Stray Bullets.
I picked up the collected edition, 41 issues worth in a big-ass paperback which also happens to smell really nice.
It's unlike any comic I can remember reading before... each issue is a self-contained story, but most of them centre around the same area, over a few decades. I picked up one of the latest issues a while back on a whim, and was amazed to find an entire story contained within, with deep characters, action and an interesting setting- in the amount of pages most comics take for a scene or two.

I highly recommend it, whether you read comics or not.

Just looked it up, and I do have the right to kill my own sheeps, granted I stun them first! Probably won't kill them this year (I have no experience and I'd hate to mess up the job), but killing my own meat is something I have looked forward to for a long time.  :)

Just finished True Detective. Awesome.

Can't wait to see what they do with season 2 since they say it's gonna be anthological, so new cast and location and plot and everything.
