to address your original issue, then, having a binary tree with every node numbered is fairly trivial, and you could simply have the doors marked with what number dimension they led to (after having taught the higher/lower search algorithm to your playerbase, of course)

Turns out that I had all of the work required to get a passing grade in the unit that I thought I was going to repeat next year done already, which is excellent, because the unit isn't running next year. Got it printed and handed in and now for another three weeks of chilling before returning to college.

Also free WiFi.

On the one hand, happy because all the shows I watch come out on Monday, ripe for Tuesday watching. On the other hand, ALL MY SHOWS UPDATE ON MONDAYS, THE REST OF THE WEEK IS TERRIBRU.

Also I am fairly engrossed in another playthrough of Final Fantasy VII right now. See you guys in a week or so :P

I was an N64 kid... Started playing VII a few months ago and just couldn't.

They should put as much effort into those remakes as Zeldah. For such a popular game the graphics be trash.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

What's so interesting is they didn't have to be like that. The super low detail Cloud and Tifa were followed by the very aesthetically pleasing characters in IX. It's the same with N64: the launch games were pretty blocky, but around the time of N64's demise, we got Animal Forest.

Makes you wonder how far those consoles would have been pushed were they not replaced by more powerful machines.

ANIMAL FOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST FTW

I was a GCN kid with no GCN, so I had to get my kicks with my uncle's one. I mean, the '64 was around when I was born, but my most coherent early memories of video games involve playing as Baby Mario and Baby Luigi in MK: DD and repeatedly jumping into the ocean while playing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the humor value of Mario jumping out of the water screaming.

Good times.

I was an NES kid, everything we had was blocky, because that's all we had to build with. This has brought back a happy I get sometimes in fact. I remember christmas, 1991, plugging in and starting up my brand new SNES with super mario world in. I kid you not, I marveled at the graphics, it's a very specific memory I have. "Look how smooth it is!" I'd say, "You can't even see the pixels!".

I love thinking back to that, and looking at what we have now. Keeps you humble.

In the future it will be all "Oh it doesn't even have motion controls" "Oh it uses a controller?  Lame" "It's barely even 3d!"  "You can't even see the sweat on mario's face!" "It doesn't support the google subdermal experience?  No point playing."   "I don't play games unless it's CoD 54 or up. You wouldn't last 2 seconds in the Saturn ring wars scrub."
