It really seems that in a couple updates, DF will be able to procedurally generate pretty lifelike communication.
It was inevitable.
I await the day when DF becomes more real than reality.

Wrestling (sambo) tournament within uni sports section tomorrow. The fun part is, I don't even have an opponent in my weight category, and the weight gap between the dude closest to my weight and me is something like 20 kg.

I'm in for a good tme.

I just cashed my first-ever paycheck. I mostly just put papers from piles into folders and then into other folders, but it's fantastic. Life is good.

So while we're still on the DF train, I think this should be plugged. This is the kind of thing I imagined happening when I first saw some of Toady's example music descriptions in the devlog.

I ran my first D&D game yesterday. I'm kinda proud of myself for actually doing it even though I crammed reading the handbooks the night before, the morning of, and during the beginning of the game XD

Oh and hey how's everybody been?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

EDIT: also, I could probably intercept conversation stuff, people can have legitimate arguments now

Me too, I just couldn't be arsed to tune the synths to work with 16-tone scales before.
