Lots of good tasty food, 5 cats (petted 3) and bold starlings who don't seem to care that there is 2 humans and 2 cats around they are raiding the feeders followed by watching a movie and more nice food.

Today was a good day.

Restarted programming on a game idea I had given up, this time with the power of OOP at my side. I'll have to refactor significant chunks of code that I wrote during the previous attempt, though.

Remembered a song that I had only a small guitar riff stuck in my head. Slightly annoyed at myself that I kept thinking it was a Rush song before realising it was Stairway to Heaven, but either way, nice to listen to it again. Plus, I went on a mini-Rush binge while looking in the wrong places!

Got up an hour ago. Thus far today:

-Saw an orange tip butterfly
-Saw a deer in the field out the back of our house
-Had a freshly baked croissant

And, to top it all off, weather's lovely.

I feel like today's gonna be a good day.

The thing is, I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO THE MILITARY. So that's good. I'll keep the glasses until I get past the maximum age for the military.

From what I have heard, conscription in my country is in such a way that you won't be allowed into the military even with contacts (maybe unless volunteering). There is eye surgery, but it's expensive.

Ah, reminds me when I went through conscription and was rejected because I had had two lung surgeries the year before.

Much hilarity was had by observing other folks going through the process.

I can wrap a tray of watermelon slices in about 11 to 13 seconds on average. I'm fast and this is pleasing to me. And they come out looking damn close to uniform, like a machine did it.
