I bought a sonic brush, on the cheaper side.  But the thing feels amazing.

Where was it all my life?  I brush like 4 times a day, and I think I'm going to take it in the car with me to work.

Please remember that overbrushing is a thing. 3 times/day is probs plenty.

Blocked Reddit with a browser extension. Made the password for the extension some ridiculous long string without looking so I can't change it in a moment of weakness. Every sub I looked at was just a bunch of elitist snobs patting eachother on the back for being so snobby and elite. Every time I go there I just come away pissed off, even more so than when I had an account. This will be good for my general emotional health once I stop trying to check it every five seconds.

Discord tends to be a lot better than the OG subreddit, mostly because there's no cancerous rep/karma feature. Most of the time.

I like to keep interesting subs around.  They tend to all get samey after a while, and then there's always some schmuck who reposts everything they can the second it is technically within the rules to.

Reddit as a site/organisation is evil, but there are the occasional pockets of good people and discussions on there.   


Edit: I brought my laundry in and had breakfast, aw yeah. Haven't even procrastinated once this morning!

I've decided that hating Reddit is like hating forums. Not specific forums for specific things, forums in general. Reddit is made up of a great many communities, many of which are perfectly nice places with perfectly reasonable standards about nazis and child porn. For instance, these days I'm largely active on a sub about Paladins, a sub dedicated to memes about Wildbow's web serials, a sub about my home city, and a sub about climate activism.

The service is undeniably questionable at the top level like Yoink says, but there are plenty of parts of it quite capable of generally improving your life instead of giving you an aneurysm.

I've got nothing against any particular subreddit, I just don't like the format of reddit. It just feels like an entire site made up of news article comments. Or a site entirely constructed of Youtube comments without the videos. Like, if I was going to contribute online it wouldn't be shitposting comments on random posts that are going to be forgotten cruft within 48 hours, it would be updating wikis and stuff.
