I'd be happier if VOX hadn't gotten a seat in the Basqur parliament, but thr PP+C coalition lost four seats so quid pro quo I guess

I heard they didn't let people with Corona vote in Basqueland and Galicia?

I hope that only meant in person and not by letter

That was a bit of a fuckup, yes. I can talk about the Basque example, not the galician one.

At first they were saying they'd be allowed to vote in person with precautions. Then two days before the election they did an U turn (I suspect someone from public health told them it was a very bad idea) and said they wouldn't. Some  had requested post voting, but not all of them. And there is no provision in Spain to vote while sick  except to request to vote by post along with everyone else.

It was only 160 people, mind you (not that many active cases in Euskadi right now. We only have a couple of outbreaks). Nonetheless they should have made a special provision to help them vote if you ask me.

Also: odds are within the next 5 days masks will be mandatory in all Spain all the time. Some of the nastier outbreaks are goinf back to lockdown too
