There is no Frostfather, just Mother Earth.

I got FF Tactics, first time playing. Got the War of the Lions version.

Super fun, also Argath is the worst. Like the actual worst.

I only ever played FFT Advanced / Advanced 2, and I'm really still not sure if we're supposed to be sympathetic to the protagonist in the former as he methodically destroys the anchors holding the world together in an effort to dismiss the fantasy world that his wheelchair-bound brother and orphan friends find themselves able-bodied and with community in.

It was kinda funny naming renaming him to 'Noob' though.

If I ever need to sink some more time into my Vita, I'll be juggling between War of the Lions and a monsters-only Disgaea 4 challenge run, I think.

I found another new (to me) leather coat today! It's brown, peacoat-sized, and has a super fluffy faux-fur hood lining. It'll need to air out for a while to get the thrift store smell out of it. I've got black, brown, and red now! A leather coat for every weather, a leather coat for every mood!

Oh, and it was half off! Fifteen dollar snag!

...maybe i'll go buy the blue leather one that's been hanging around in the next town over, awful as it looks

Yeah, marche was... not sympathetic, on a lot of levels. Lot of folks that bother paying attention to the plot come off wondering if you're actually the bad guy in that one.

FFT and the FFTA line is a pretty different sort of thing thematically/plot wise. Deffo recommend if you liked the FFTA gameplay but wanted something with a different taste to it, though.

... and if you want the OG (heh), Tactics Ogre is on vita, too, I think. The rerelease thing was pretty ace. Same for FFT, really, the PSP releases for both were largely considered improvements over the originals, far as I noticed.

I totally agree with Frumple about FFT and FFTA.  I'd like to give FFT another go sometime, or actually finish Tactic Ogre!  Now *that's* a game with some fun morality.  Not that "New Kid, why are you tearing our universe apart?" "I'm not sure...  Because it's not mine?" isn't fun in its own strange way.  Almost reminds me of Undertale except with 0 self-awareness instead of 11.  (And then in the sequel, A2, they dropped all that)
Tactics Ogre even has a couple moral choices which fundamentally change the rest of the game!  I don't remember FFT having choices (beyond optional characters) but it does have deep characters with a lot to say about social classes.

Also hooray for a nice thrifty coat!  Reusing is important as Reducing and Recycling, plus you can find some real treasures for cheap in thrift stores.

Last night I held a humorous Zoom presentation that not only went off without a hitch (finished the presentation file some 90 minutes before showtime), but that got glowing feedback from exactly the one person I was most afraid would be turned off by it. And today I managed to grapple with my overbearing grandfather on a paperwork issue and was completely successful without even having to yell at him that much!

So now I can actually *relax* this Sunday and have some time to myself without all this gunk hanging over my head!
