Howdy. I think you've got a semi decent chance of finding me that way.

I was watching Prehistoric Planet this week. I think that was the best dinosaur animation I've ever seen.

I just realized I can control the pitch of my tinuitus by focusing my hearing on a lower or higher tone (at the lowest point it sounds quieter and at the highest it's like a annoying mosquito tone which is more annoying).
This doesn't actually matter in any way, but it seems like a cool thing to be able to do.

Hey, that's really good. Almost, almost life-like.

Why are they stapling feathers to all the dinosaurs now days anyway?

Well, the fuckers tank each others feathers out all the time, so sometimes you gotta stick em back on, or you've got a sad, naked little therapod. Fucking chickens.

But more seriously, paleontologists want artists to render dinosaurs how they think they should be depicted, and many therapod lineages likely had feathers because of fossil evidence of members, usually very small ones for which body insulation would be critically important, show them. But artists interpretations are often goofy and not likely, like patches of misplaced display feathers on otherwise bare scaly hide, no insulating downy feathers, etc, and very large animals don't need hugely insulating fur/feathers except in extremely cold environments. Large bodies are just more efficient. So trex didn't need feathers to survive, like an elephant, and could thus have been totally nude.

Or it could be large and covered in feathers much like a buffalo is large and covered in fur.
There's this nice illustrated book 'All Yesterdays', attempting to depict dinosaurs in unusual ways, that are still consistent with the fossil record. The idea being that there's a lot of soft tissue and hair/feathers that is not preserved, but contributes in a significant way to how animals look. So there's a lot of wiggle room.

Saying feathered dinosaurs look bad is dumb. They're real animals, not horror monsters.
