Mist Generating Statues!
Can't have a temple to Armok without the obligatory burning magma mist statues.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Wow thats cool idea. And about Armok.... UPDATE - new mode: Scenario: Armok's call

How it works:
upon starting one of your mechanisms will turn into dwarf bone mechanism. Build this into mechanism and attach lever. That way you will be able to control Armok's portal. While on currently has only negative effect. Later it will eat corpses and spew magma (thats earths blood) which later could be used as mana or sth.
Also added new note-statement bleed

Hope you like it.

Update: Added mist statues, type of mist depends on type of statue, be warned: glass statues are dangerous. ;)

Why should we wait for magic arc when we have THIS!
Will you release the source? There must be some troubles you've got through with figuring out all the memory allocation for various things etc., but it would allow others to mod anything they want for a story. Or probably could you make some kind of "modules" for your program without releasing the main source if you don't want it?

I'm thinking about integrating everything into DFhack (because I need a few functions from it). But now its too cluttered and ugly to do anything about it. I would love to make this program into a "scenario parser" - for community games and similar. Or get bored with it and release the source :)

Oh, Darius the Smart, can you make a routine to delete/destroy abandoned pieces of clothing?

I don't know how you can get is a piece abandoned or not... But if you could make it to destroy all forbidden clothing/items, it would be great and help to make the framerate higher.

i'd settle for 'delete items under cursor' but if you could delete items designated for dumping or forbidden, this would remove tons and tons of clutter and make DF much more manageable.

Darius, oh mighty Darius, make a routine to delete items designated as forbidden/for dumping.

It would solve TONS of problems.
1) Tons of goblin socks which are all around the map and are forbidden by default.
2) Tons of elven/human caravan equipment from dead guards which you don't want.
3) All the rocks you don't want to "h"ide.
4) All those clothes in the barracks which cannot be dumped.
5) That damned xxrope reed sockxx which FFS is held by your champion and blocks him from wielding weapons (and he doesn't want to drop it even if marked for dumping *rage*)
6)... Whatever?

It brings LOTS of lifesaving possibilities.

Could it be possible to destroy FORBIDDEN rocks/clothing? Since all your stockpiles are on ground.

Yeah it is, sorry. Just now noticed a few new posts. :) So is it better to destroy forbidden rocks/clothing or everything? only rocks and clothing for now ;P

Oh and I would like to merge all the statues into one mode. But I don't know how to do it to make it most comfortable(usable)?

Wish I could get it to work but say for examply when I type in G to make mist nothing happens. Am I suppose to target the statue before I do anything somehow?

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.
