Thanks, and thanks to the procedural generator! I finally made a wiki page:
http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Tholtig

When writing the wiki page, I ran through the family connections once again, and picked up something I'd missed. It turns out that one of the heroes in the first war, Goden Leafybridges, was the eldest son of the first ruler of the Bronze Orbs, but had been overlooked in favor of the youngest child, whose line quickly died out. One of his sons was Tholtig's husband. Thus, Tholtig actually married into the line of the original royal family, possibly as a means to both cement her line's legitimacy and further unite the dwarves - by the end of the war, it looks like all the heroes were members of the same clan.

It also means that Obok Willbolt, the third-to-last dwarf to die before Tholtig and her husband, was actually Tholtig's grandnephew.

Things like this happening. That's why I play DF, and that's why I tell everyone I know to play.

That's simply amazing..
And I agree with tefalo, this would make an incredible story if animated, heck, even if novelized!

It's me again, just to say again that this is Epic.

Sadly, I don't have time to make a cave dedicated for her (10z all engraved cave with natural, engraved pillars, with magma pool and a masterwork adamantine statue on island there), but oh well.

She's so Epic that nothing can compare to her.

And about Legends Mode - you gen a world and toss it away, because it looks boring - hence you possibly missed stories tens of awesome dwarven/human/whatever heroes or other epic stuff.

How many 'Tholtig's' have been lost because of that? :P

EDIT: I think I will start worshipping her in mah sig.

In 2009, Tholtig received worship from Haspen.

Imagine a combination of power goals 44 and 45: The ruler convenes a council of the nobles to appoint you the high priest of the nearby towns. Instead of waiting for them to finish their drinking session, you walk in and crush a goblet while berating their disgusting behaviour and general incompetence.

If there's a way to pull legends info from the game, it should be feasible to create a genealogy for certain (non-elven) groups and provide it in some sort of graphic format.

Not that I would know how to do that.

Are you saying this degrades the quality of the game?

After buffing megabeasts to survive worldgen, I got a dragon with almost 2000 kills before it was slaughtered by a bronze colossus.
