Dwarf Fortress 0.21.101.19c Released
« on: August 20, 2006, 08:26:00 pm »

Download

Changes

All right, maybe this fixes the problems with the last one.  I found some things that would generate the strange behavior and fixed them, created and tested some new worlds and tested some old saves, and it all seems to work.  There's a limit to what I can test though, so **please be careful to backup before you try this**.  There will still occasionally be releases like the last one where everything blows up, ALPHA TESTER, so be be be cautious.

Some other crash bugs were removed, and a pathing error caused by mushrooms growing up in your hallways was repaired.  I have a lot of saves left to test and so on.  I'll try to get to them when I can.

Did this fix the dwarf/goblin/elf fights in the elven retreats? I thought those were intentional and awesome.   :D

He he he.  It was importing random creatures -- when we get to raiding parties you'll be able to have that sort of thing with more reason hopefully.  The way it is 101.19b, you could also...  turn into a goblin at random.

Is the world still going nuts with random creature stuff?  I have one report, but more would help.  I might have to disable the download again...

Hey Toady, any chance combat logs are going to be added to DF mode like they are in adventurer mode?

Like maybe you press control+C to see any fighting that has happened lately in your fortress.

Yeah, there was a thread relating to this, where we discussed some ideas about how you could view that information without cluttering the display.
