The issue I have with modern feminism is that it has lost track of the goal of "equal treatment", and has gone on some anti-penis crusade, attributing everything imaginable to "the patriarchy."
Just like it is wrong to ascribe every shrew-like behavior to feminism, it is wrong to attribute every jerkwad behavior to "the patriarchy." Men are not responsible for all the ills that beset women. Sorry girls, they just aren't. The sooner we can dismiss that nonsense, and get back to addressing real issues like caustic workplaces, or pay rate differences, the better-- but when men tell women that one of the big factors in things like the latter is that they tend not to be confrontational, and thus never get things they dont demand, they are being bluntly honest. Asserting defiantly that it is not feminine is not going to address the issue. Capitalist systems just do not give a damn about your plumbing, and only care about how much they pay you. If they can get away with paying you less, THEY WILL. END OF DISCUSSION. It is up to you to demand that they pay you properly, because they are not going to "See the light." We are talking the very same people that mass import H1B visa holders from India, because they work cheaper than native tech workers, and force those same native tech workers to train them as their own replacements. Guess what, tech workers are predominantly male. This is not a "male vs female" thing, it is a "You dont stop them from abusing you" thing. You dont demand equal pay with solidarity, and favor passivity-- and they take advantage of that. That is how it is.
Going off on some boogieman chase about "the patriarchy" is absurd here. It is just a soulless desire by big business to never pay your real worth, no matter who or what you are, coupled with a predominant notion that "femininity" is "not confrontational." Boy-- is that ever wrong headed. Just listen to any domestic dispute, and you will learn first hand how inaccurate that notion is. If women embraced that fact, and focused similar ire on their employers, much of the pay gap would vanish.

That is bullshit, and that alone is reason enough to not promulgate that crap. I guarantee you that if men did this kind of emotional and psychological warfare on women today, there would be bloody hell to pay. Why do the very thing you condemn? Especially if the actual stated goal is equality?

This. For me, feminism is just another form of sexism, which falls in the same category as racism, namely discrimination. A lot of feminists have no fucking idea what emancipation means.

Is this how feminism has come in many areas? I've never noticed localized feelings way towards it this way (eg like, 'the patriarchy' is at fault overall), although that's only speaking from personal experience over all the years with people from different ideologies in my locality. Anyway.
I'm agreeing fully with wierd here. (alongside being able to discord chat with you--do remember the factor of their timeline and life too; they are exposed to things that may have a rather out-of-context or different sensitivity when said in casual conversation, to different people of different generations. I'm specifically speaking of 'catchphrases commonly used' or communicative styles, as there are things people say that may have been more a common product of media at their time and it stuck)
Also alongside the (at least where I am) commonly held value that female != lesser than male or otherwise, there's a ton of research denoting that there's little
significant actual difference that makes anything greater than the other on the big scale. :O

This is also important to note, as an attitude, that it affects people due to its consistency. Shaming or putting ill-meaning towards a very general thing without specifics (eg cognitive stereotyping, which means 'a basic cognitive way that the mind uses to classify things', added with 'ill meaning' will affect people's feelings, emotions, and perceptions if it is a consistent habit, and even a belief, if taken only at that)
Also, Hugo, taking it out of context to what you typed there (because discord and added context and all), mood is a very important factor affecting what people will say and do say. Consistency, and Time, are also very important to all that. From an impression, a concept comes, a concept becomes that basic building block to connect/imply other meanings related to it. Where you learned this 'internalized' idea is important to note, too.
And 'internalized sexism' is a convoluted jargon; there's no literal or actual thing in existence, cognitively. It is learned (and, honestly, shouldn't be taken as the word itself because it's like a slang word to refer to an attitude; it loosely applies but is emotionally and impressionistic in its impact)
Usually, people in authority (either a position or a social position, like media sources) are those that influence that a lot, over time.
