I mean, one of my main life goals is to help advance offworld colonization efforts. We can do colonies now, but we would need to get over the fact that the first few waves may simply die.

When you ban and actually enforce the ban on active aggression, personal attacks, people get wonderfully catty.  I love it, no sarcasm, I greatly prefer how people tend to attack ideas and (generally) only imply that their debate partner is a monkey's effluence.

It's not perfect at all.  Some ideas get ganged up on - often lazily.  But often very constructively.  There's a lot to learn just by watching, and that's just less efficient on other forums.

I can see the regulars of this board ascending to the higher plane of existance, and spending the whole thing Passive-aggrassively bickering over the morals of them all ascending to godhood or some shit like that.
