I suppose I can add my two cents on this "separate sub-board for News and Events" concept.  I don't want to say I don't have an opinion on the idea, but I can see the argument for and against.  I can certainly respect that a lot of people just don't want to see threads about news and events, prickly reminders of bad shit that they often are, while at the same time there's enough of them to indicate a certain hunger for news-links among the population.  With a separate section, there could be as many as anyone wants while nobody who doesn't won't have to acknowledge them.  It would probably even proliferate with its own space, since there'd no longer be the nagging sense of bringing everyone down with depressing thread titles (which might just be my own problem).

On the other hand, why bother really?  News already falls as squarely under "General Discussion" as anything can, and a segment devoted to weighty topical issues could easily become a nasty little boiler room.  I can see the logic, but I'm not advocating it.

I really should just go whole hog, abandon any lingering sense of self-respect, and start a fucking blog.  If my suspicions about this upcoming job interview are anything like true, I could easily find my lot in life to be writing about other people's journalism.

work. making a 3d model of a building.

generally, we have detailed CAD drawings.

now, I just have the old model, and some scans of prints of renders from that model, that have marker scrawled corrections on them.
