That's how you get better at things.
This.

Although for paranoia's sake, maybe start with some scrap A4?

Some days, I wonder why I put so much care into my birds when I'm terrible at caring for other things. I probably spend at least an hour -which could do something productive-  a day with my birds. Then, realization hit me.

They depend on me. They care for me. The simple act of changing their food and water is almost magical to them, I'm sure. They probably thing the world of me. However small it is. I wandered to something else.

They're the only things keeping me happy. I felt like crying when the oldest of the trio died in his sleep. There was a bond I'd formed with it. It didn't matter if it was the only one to draw blood. I don't care if he hated interacting with people. It felt like family. I have that same bond with the others. I feel like I'm even worse for talking like this because 'They're just animals' and they won't help me advance in life. I won't be able to get better at something by messing with birds.

So why do I still do this?

I like the feeling of being depended on.

I'm probably making zero sense with this rant, but I just needed to get this off my chance and feel somewhat less stressed.

EDIT: I should say they're not the only thing, it's just that sometimes, it seems that they're the only thing despite me trying to do a million things to do the same thing.

Sorry, Blaster of Ice, this just happens to be a very normal, natural affinity humans have with animals. I can't tell you how many asshole animals I raised that I still would have killed someone over for harming them. It makes 100% sense.

Sorry to hear about the eldest in the trio, even if that happened a while ago.

I hate holidays.  I hate how emotional people get about them.  I hate how emotional people are in general.  Why am I the only one who tries to be easy to get along with, and doesn't expect anything from others beyond a little common decency and respect.

No, I try to do the same. Except the last couple of days when I yelled at my brother over him making too much noise (Ironic, right?) and have felt a deep seated urge to punch things. But that's hopefully temporary.

My family is pretty chill about them. Apparently most of us like Easter better than Christmas, too. We're not exactly typical~

Really, to people who cry about looks I say "Man up."

Tell me to man up about not feeling adequately feminine and I'll punch you in the face >:[

I wouldn't dream of it. On rereading that, it does sound too harsh. Em, perhaps I should say "Looks don't matter, not to the people who it really counts for-those that love you just for being you, not your exterior shell." Yea, that sounds more like what I'd normally say.

And I have no doubt that were I to say that to any girl, I would be punched in the face. You just confirmed your femininity, so hooray!

Thirded :P
Though however, I do feel that Dwarfy really worded his motive in a wrong way there.

Because usually, when people say man up, it comes with a negative association towards feelings/suppression of emotion and/or superficial attitude as far as I've seen context on it be. :/ A better idea would be to understand such behavior but then :v
There are no short terms for that as far as I know.

'Man up' has a negative connotation? Maybe when used in a situation where it is inappropriate...
