Even that typo, hum. E: Sad thread's probably not the place to contemplate the subject, though.

I hope none of these gods that keep popping up try to demand a tithe.  I need that money for sinfully secular things.

Nah, we're cool, bro. Human sacrifices is where it's at. Just send me, maybe, five or a hundred per month and we'll be good.
Okay, cool, I can handle that.
I'm not sure if this is an innuendo or I'm just thinking too hard.

Yeah, if I was deity I'd get rid of the whole heaven and hell thing. They both sound terrible to me. But I'd keep death, since it seems like a pretty good idea.

And while I personally prefer the idea of oblivion, I know others have their own hopes for the afterlife, so I'd probably try to have it all. The main thing would probably be a cross between limbo/heaven/Sigil, where everyone would come at first and from there move to their afterlife of choice, or they could just stick around if they wanted. Everyone would be invited to stay, from Hitler to the Dalai Lama, but if anyone tried to start some shit, angel bouncers would escort them off the premises or whatever.

And, as I said, for anyone who doesn't want to hang out there for eternity, more traditional afterlives would be on table: if you want be reincarnated, go ahead; if you want your own special heaven, assuming I have infinite space, go ahead and take it, I don't care. Want be absorbed into some sort mass consciousness or whatever? Go right ahead. want to be a ghost or some sort of ancestor spirit? So long as you don't cause too many problems for the living, I say go right ahead. Tired of the whole idea of existence and just want oblivion? Well, with the mass consciousness thing I'd say you have another alternative to the burden of eternal individual identity thing, but if that's what you really want, I'm not going to stop you.

And if your particular afterlife path isn't suiting you, you'd be free at any time to choose another. I'm okay with whatever. Though I probably wouldn't want to run the place. Would probably need to get some sort of celestial bureaucracy in place to handle all this for me.

Man...I just...wow.
You all easily jump onto that specificity. Readily jump on that limitation that God chooses to save 'x people'. That he loves onto those he chose to save.
And you all jump onto it. Just like that.

...I'm just shaking my head at you people. That's all you'll hear from me now.

Not butthurt, rather disappointed at how easily people latch onto a very incomplete and generalized interpretation of it.
Then the generalization continues without any trying to understand.

Very disappointed that they should know better than being like that, but it got blown up out of believable proportions.

I'm not even religious and the average religious discussion on here makes me angry.

Speaking of deities, my 4e Dragonborn got a crit on an intimidate and pretended to be Tiamat.

He promptly told people to offer money. Some suckers actually threw coin at me, until someone stood against my guise. "You're not Tiamat. Prove you are by showing your power" he says. Cue angry werewolf chewing his face. Ah, good times.

Also, Tiruin, I'm sorry if you got offended (Or disappointed. Really, they both sound the same to me) but a religious debate is going to be as general or as specific as you want it to be. You never put forward a specific statement, so you got no specific answer.

All hail Tiamat, Dragon-Goddess, Mother of Chaos and Patron of the Deep (Only After Ea Used a Massively Overpowered Spell on the God of the Deep, but Still)!

... I assume your dragonborn was female?  :P

Oh man, crit on Intimidate reminds me of my WoD character from the game Fniff hosted. Ahh, fun times.
