... sad thread not really the place for it, but I have to say that "the fires of Mount Toad" sounds like innuendo for something absolutely horrifying. Probably some kind of venereal disease.

Though yeah, the constant attempts to disenfranchise chunks of the voting population here in the states is... kinda' frustrating, I guess is the nicest word for it.

I think FG&RP qualifies as a vein of Cotten Candy, lots of good has come from it. But also lots of bad.
It cannot qualify as that, as it is at the bottom of the glowing pits.
No, the Mafia subforum is the glowing pits.

Nah, RTD is the glowing pits. Mafia is more akin to a dark tower.

Brother continues being a hypocrite. Doesn't care how many good reasons I give as to why he should stop doing what he does, or the fact that he mentally tortures me, and refuses to say why, the fact that I try to make him stop is worse than the fact that he does it, and as long as he says 'SHUT UP" the argument is over and I have no reason to continue asking for an apology. After all, the only reason I'm asking is because it will make me feel better about myself.

I just want him to realise that his incessant... stuff, has had such a negative effect on my psyche the past couple of years that I now have absolutely no capacity to contain my anger, or trust anyone to not be like him. It's becoming less "screw you, stop doing that" and "I beg of you don't make me put up with this until I die".

I look at the upper boards every nown again, but it's basically repeating the same stuff for me now, so I maybe make a comment or two then resubmerge into the lowerboards like a crocodile that can't be arsed to attack the wildebeest.

Draw your Adventures is worth a look too, but generally I peek at FotF and maybe look at a new thread until my dwarfttention span expires and I squirm back down the addy.

It is notably similar to the pre-DF2012 one lately, so hurray.

How could I have forgotten Draw your Adventures? Some great stuff there lately.

It continues to be miserably hot, yet there is so much outside work to do.

I ate an entire jumbo sized bag of chips by myself. Then I found out that the chips expired last month, even though I only just bought the bag on the weekend.

Now I've spoiled my appetite for dinner. Despite this I am cooking dinner right now.

... expiration dates are sometimes more of a suggestion than anything meaningful. They apparently tasted well enough to consume an entire jumbo bag worth, so...

Though re: Dinner: Just cook it up and shove it in the fridge or whathaveyou. It can be warmed tomorrow! That's the miracle of modern cooking. If you're already full, don't force yourself to eat more, as a rule.
