Can I just say that having all these questions/things I feel I should comment on is starting to freak me out, and I am considering just avoiding bay12 for the rest of the night instead of answering? Help.

Have you already completed your diploma? What level is it?
I finished highschool math IB (30 IB level) with an 80% (It was a 90 before the finals, but my parents yelled at me for two weeks and I was too panicked to get good marks (even though I was told by the school counselor later that it was a very hard test and most people got less than 60)) and then my mom phoned the school and dropped my Calculus IB course so I could redo the final exam of math 30.

you don't have to answer at all if you don't want to. I don't think anyone wants to stress you out,

If you need someone to talk to PM me :)

I'm sure. Brown recluses don't live West of the Mississippi, and they aren't nearly as aggressive.
Quick search says otherwise
That and I live west of said river and they are everywhere here........
And ya your right they are not aggressive at all, if they were I would have felt sorry for my sister when she got the basement bedroom. Our basement was full of spiders hidding all around when we moved in

I don't know where you're getting your info from, Cryxis. There are zero brown recluses in the western states. None. It's a popular myth that they are over here, but they aren't.

A glance at Wikipedia reveals that they like the area north of the sea that's west of the dick-shaped peninsula.

I'm not good at geography.

A shrink, (and screw them if they get offended by the term, they are all awful anyway,) or psychiatrist throws pills at your problems and pretends to listen when you talk to them. They are sometimes a necessary evil, but should be avoided if possible and if just therapy can help, also they are terrible at therapy itself and should not be used for such.

And here I was planning to be a therapist ._.

No, therapists are the good ones! Smeep was saying that you shouldn't go to a shrink/psychiatrist for therapy/psychology.

Why do we even have economics, anyway? We're Linguistics students for goshsake.

UGH! I have two gift cards that I just immediately hate.

I have a 50 dollar playstation network giftcard

and the 1 year membership Playstation Plus card...

It is going to be tough to get rid of them without losing most of their value.

I also have a PS4 I really don't want... but there is no way to get rid of that... because it is one of those "I am actually the one who wants it, but I am gifting it to you" gifts for my father.

Which he also bought an extra controller for... but there are no 2 player games that comes with it... I only have PS3 2 player games.

I got several nice things, but there was one white elephant: a copy of ESO. I should probably try it but I simply can't afford the subscription.

My parents said we'd all see a movie together on Christmas and maybe go out to eat. Here I've been waiting all day, alone. I called them once or twice, and I was blown off. It's 5PM and most of the day is wasted.

I finally get a call from mom just a couple minutes ago. Turns out they went to the casino without even telling me.... It's been several hours, and I could've stopped by another relative's house instead of waiting here alone. They might do a 7 or 9 o clock show. [sigh]. I feel I could've been told something way before wasting the day.

Of course they will not even consider this a problem and if I bring it up will look at me with shock and surprise.... It's lovely to have wasted a Christmas like that.

no don't, it's terrible. It could have been good but you will just end up bitter and angry at the string of terrible decisions the devs consistently make.

Here's an example (the one that I can most clearly express,)

Normal levels go to 50. After that, there are much harder to get veteran ranks that go to, as of now, 14. They require much much more exp, and they have promised a champion system that will drop the level back to 50 and give a sort of alternate advancement system. They promised the exp for veteran levels would be given towards champion points. That was when it was to 12. Then they increased it to 14 to make the content they were releasing more meaningful. Now, they are saying no matter what your veteran rank, 1 or 14, you are getting 30 champion points. That's it, your work means nothing.

When they accidentally shut down a campaign for pvp early, they kept promising to give something to the players involved to make up for it, eventually they briefly mentioned they weren't giving anyone anything and then just unstickied the thread about it.

The moderators on the forums are complete nazis, and I had a CS person outright lie to me about a warning having expired, only to get banned in the next warning and him try to twist it like I was lucky I got off that easy.

They keep nerfing things to the point where the variety of useful builds becomes less and less, while leaving certain things far too powerful. They have no concept of baby steps when it comes to balancing the game.

They DO NOT punish cross teamers or exploiters at all.

Like, I really really wanted to like it. But they don't even communicate with anyone on the forums about anything, they go to reddit where the rules are even more draconian, to the point where any dissent equals banning, to release info and answer questions, rather than face actual criticism.

I wouldn't even play it if it was free, tbh. I don't really like FTP MMOs anyway, but even if that didn't invite in a bunch of assholes that otherwise wouldn't play, I still wouldn't touch it.

You'll just leave bitter and pissed off and feel like you've wasted a ton of time on a game that has devs that are addicted to making bad decisions and don't even feel like they need to apologize for it.
