Do... Games influence children that much?
If it means anything, DF has though me that merely biting a person is not enough. Also a couple other stuff like bones are hard to crack.

They're R18... So 14 year olds shouldn't be playing it.
It's illegal for those under the legal age to watch porn, right?
Same dukkah.

And IIRC there are addendum's to those that say that parents can show 18+ things it to their kids for "educational purposes" (i.e. sex ed.). So if your parent buys/rents it for you, you'd be fair game in any case.

I dreamed again that there was a supernova that lit up the night sky, and that I was going to go call all my friends to talk about it, but then I woke up.

Attempted to make oatmeal twice.

Microwave is fickle.

First time it just explodes a minute in.

Second time I watch it. Stop every minute to check how liquid it is.

I look away for half a second about two minutes in and it explodes.

Mood is shit. Probably because I need more sleep.

I hate life. I don't even know why anymore. It's like some days I think I'm fine, a bit unhappy for no reason but otherwise fine, and then suddenly I realize I'm so fed up with all of this and I just don't want to bother anymore.

Maybe you need to do some introspection? There's normally a reason why life isn't pleasent for a person. Maybe you should figure out why so you can change that.

Lower power rating + longer time? That should let the temperature equalize a bit more and possibly stop random explosions.

The issue is the microwave is fickle. It's actual used level varies heavily. Even when set to one thing.

Protip: heat the water/milk/whatever first before adding the oat flakes, then heat only a bit more to make them puff. It's much less likely to explode that way. Mix in any additional ingredients (say, berries) only after it's done.

Alternatively, try cooking it on a stove instead of a microwave, and stirring it all the way. It's slower, but more certain and you can make multiple portions.

Yeah same advice. More milk/water and more time should settle it down.

Well, it's illegal for children to play the game.
I believe you are incorrect.
Many variations of this were found which states it is illegal to sell the game below its recommended age, not that it is illegal to play.
It might be that Aussieland has some dumbfuck laws that actually criminalise playing games. It wouldn't surprise me.

Wouldn't surprise me either. Austrailia is about one step away from being North Korea.

Yeah, no guns allowed, no R18 games allowed, no watering of lawns on a Tuesday.
It's practically Guantanamo Bay.

Now you know why we do so much pesky online thieving.

Which is now on my "sad food for dark thoughts" list.
1. Why do we want the freedom to break the law when the removal of said freedoms could only be used to break said laws, and it wouldn't actually restrict anything else.

For my 2. I was watching the news this morning and heard about an 11 year old boy who was wandering through the wilderness for 5 days. They ended up finding him sitting against a hill, and rushed in to rescue him.
I thought "woah, how did he survive? 11yo survivalist?
Then the news says "we're treating him for hypothermia and severe dehydration, as it rained all weekend.
I was like "woah! Did he drink from a river or something? Seems crazy risky."
Then they revealed "The heavily autistic boy was almost impossible to see in the dense bushland, says chopper pilot"
Que me going "...oh"

So either I'm less happy about handicapped people being rescued, and therefore am a horrible person; or I am annoyed that he will be very unlikely to be able to communicate to us his heroic survival story, meaning I never really cared about the kid- which makes me a horrible person.
Ugh. Introspection sucks.
