if you experience projectile weeping it is my duty to inform you that you are a prototype of a human that is capable of literally projecting their feelings

the final version is busy shooting rage at people somewhere in eastern europe right now i'm not responsible for them so w/e

You won't like me when I'm angry, mostly because you'll get covered in a strange mucus.

Crying is kinda fun, it's the sadness that causes it that's terrible. :-\

You shouldn't hug me; you don't know where I've been.

I bought a copy of Hidden and Dangerous for the Dreamcast on ebay that was listed as "Japanese" for about £3.99. It was actually American so I contacted the seller (more just to let him know really) but he actually gave me a full refund and refused my attempts to return it. I feel terrible because it's in good condition with the manual and everything, he's basically given it to me for free. Damn.

Was playing backyard poker with my friends and I cheated.

I was dealer, I was shuffling during the game and saw a card poke it's way to the front which would have won me the hand, so I put a burner on top of it and left it there.
Of course after the play I came clean and gave all of my chips to the poorest person at the table, but I feel like I really damaged my credibility.
Add to that how naturally it came to me and how easily I played it off afterwards before I made the conscious decision to give it up.

We were playing $2 buy-ins, so no big problem, but still I think it's gonna keep me up at night.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

You turned yourself in immediately after. Don't be so hard on yourself.

If anything, this just means your friends will think you better at bluffing. I don't think they'll judge you beyond that.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Eh, it's poker. You're supposed to cheat.

It's a good way to get rid of friends who take games too seriously :P

You didn't give yourself an advantage - in fact, you did the opposite. No harm no foul I say.

If you're worried about how calm you were about doing it, remember that you maintained self control and fixed the problem. You've no reason to be hard on yourself .

It's a good way to get rid of friends who take games too seriously :P
The problem never is that some people take games "too seriously", but rather the seriousness taken isn't consistent among the whole group. It's just as bad to have a clown amidst a group of hardcore players as it is to have a munchkin in a group of laid-back roleplayers.
