Jesus. It really isn't a good time for BAy12ers, it seems.

I wonder how much is that due to a domino effect?

One thing's for sure. Things can surely get worse than you think.  :-\

Just read back a bit through the thread and now I'm super sad.
LSP, like people said, go to the doctor, because trust me, toxic gases in your respitory system can get really bad, and I know how bad it can hurt.
TalVi, objective, and everyone else, I really hope things get better, and don't give up. There's always hope, even if you can't see it.

I'd cry now but I have to go back to work.

If you ever consider offing yourself, I won't stop you, but only after you've at least tried to read this.

For me, at least it gave my pointless pondering some form of resurrected purpose.
Ugh, I knew it was going to be that article, an old friend linked me to that one five years ago when I was heavily suicidal, it was a crappy article then, it's still a crappy article now.

Don't worry. Everybody's useless by default. You've got tons of time to make yourself useful if you feel like you're not (and I bet you're not as useless as you feel).

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I... I... missed a lot the past few days here, evidently.

I didn't really have a sad of my own, but this thread did make me sad. :(

Just so worried about LSP, mastah, Hans, and well, all of you. I know I'm more or less a lurker here and haven't gotten to know anyone that closely, but it doesn't stop me from worrying.

Seconded. This world needs more people like the ones around here, not less.

Between the number of suicide attempts, mental breakdowns, and other emotional distress events, I'm thinking that B12 as a whole might want to take a little time to get our shit back together.
