It's not the missing sleep I hate, BTW. I was just generally a lazy, insensitive prick to everyone around me, and I hurt a few friends, along with being unable to stop lying about school. I just lied and lied and lied, to everyone, even myself.

Been there, done that, just relax and try to be a better person, make your apologies, etc. It really does get better and most people are pretty forgiving if you've been a fuckwad.
Yeah, and I'm sure explaining that you were really sleep deprived to anyone you may have hurt would help clear things up.

I'm tired of this. Of living in fear. Of living in silence.
I just want it all to end (and no, before you panic, not that way).

I want to do something about it, but the only options I have is either fucking everything up right now, or waiting some time to have a sliiim chance of not fucking it up.
I don't think I can stand much longer.

Well. A slim chance is better than no chance, so please don't mess it up now? If nothing else, you'll be able to move out at some point. I realise it's a long way off, but it's there.

I'd suggest moving to a country that isn't shit. Which is probably a lot easier said than done, but there you go.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Perseverance. :/
There are some things that we persevere through despite it seeming like we can't handle any more.
Keep at it, work towards and create yer opportunities.

Break the silence, and work through the fear. Don't let all that inhibit you. These things need action to be changed--just like action was taken that those things exist :/

I just hope those around you are open and aware.

Is there anyway you can contact...similarly minded people there? Utilize the internet to make contact to those near your area?

I can totally relate by the way. That context pokes me too. -.-

Also sent you a PM. ;3

http://www.cnet.com/uk/news/school-principals-threaten-parents-with-police-if-kids-play-grand-theft-auto/

They do realize the ideas in there saturate media anyway right? Or is the UK more tame in their movies and literature(-___-)?
So stupid  :(

That's because you live in censor-happy Australia. There's no reason for police to be involved in a situation like that.

For playing video games!? Sure, they're minors... but doesn't that seem a tad excessive?

Well, yeah, that would be silly.
I was trying to figure out just what alternatives you were offering to what the school did in that article.

I wish the people in general would in the least focus their insights into attitude--how its constructed and how it is influenced instead of poking at all the influences towards them as if those are the roots themselves. :-\

The misfocus doesn't solve the problem if the root isn't even perceived.

I think she's saying that cracking down on vidja games is a misguided attempt to solve a different problem?

...

Well, yeah, that would be silly.

Oh, right. Uh. Nothing? It's not their business, is it? They didn't mention any explicit problems (other than the possibility of "over-sexualised behaviour", whatever that is) and it's not like the kids were playing adult video games in class, which would be a very different problem.
They don't have the same reaction to porn or violent movies or whatever. It's just needless authoritarianism.
