For some reason, whenever I get sick, I always go through extended anxiety episodes.

Dunno if rabies is still a thing over where you live, but if yes, I would keep a close eye on that dog, and if you get bitten, make sure to arrive at a hospital within 24h

You could also have tried putting in some actual research and not relying on Google to do all the work for you... You know, read about cilia, see how they function, think about what pH does to the biological processes involved, etc. I mean, I'm a mathematician and know jack shit about biology, but I just input 'mussel cilia' and the third result was 'Calcium control of ciliary arrest in mussel gill cells'. The jump from ions to pH is not that great either.
