Don't worry, I'm not about to follow oh-so-many of my musical idols down the unpleasant path of codeine abuse, this stuff is the third kind.
You need a prescription for that stuff over here, after all! I get nervous enough just asking for Robitussin over the counter when I actually do have the kind of cough it is intended to treat.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, lemon tea is a solid idea, I had some of that the other day already. Well, I had a slice of orange instead of lemon, since there's something wrong with our lemon tree which causes its fruit to wind up being mostly rind (any gardeners or orchard fans wanna help me out with that?), but the oranges are big 'n' juicy 'n' great.
Reckon I'll have a coffee, a bath, then attempt to cure myself as best as possible with citrus tea and a normal dose of cough syrup before I head out.

Edit: oh yeah, another Sad - this one's only mild, but that thread no longer exists, so: I saw an ad on Instagram for upcoming Dylan Moran shows in Australia. I know these things tend to be expensive, but I cautiously clicked on the links to check prices, and it was just shy of ninety bucks?! Nothing very funny about prices like that. ::)
Even worse than I'd expected.

Good there are too many stupid people that parrot stuff and lick boots. I need a global command to control something, it doesn't work because some programm grabs keyboard and mouse input. All I'd need would be to create an exception as there are for ALT+TAB, CTRL+ALT+DEL, ALT+F4 or simply the windows key... This is not some magical fairytail concept but the most simple and efficient way to deal with the issue, but what utter stupidity don't I have to read across various google results.

"This is a desired function, you wouldn't want "ALT-TAB" to work in exclusive fullscreen programms". Except it litterally does, so a person who never bothered to interrupt their exclusive fullscreen activities EVEN ONCE IN THEIR LIFE, is basically explaining why a computer obeying to keystrokes is fundamentally silly... Like wastes a whole paragraph on it and tries to sound really smart.

"Just go borderless window" hahahaha, that's the first thing I would have tried completly bypassing the global command workaround, it allows me to do so much more than just control VLC, also "-popupwindow" allmost never works and just like... these apps are still grabbing mouse and keyboard...

Just like when you try to tell MS their multi-audio and multi-screen support has embarrasing flaws, some fanboy with 17" screen and a pair of best-buy speakers comes telling you that "EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY YOU'RE JUST STUPID" basically scolding you for invading his personal space.

Bad candy has made me sad. It's almost Halloween so mediocre and war crime level candies are everywhere. Today it was circus peanuts, which are like packing peanuts except they taste worse.

Emphasis mine
Unless the candies in question are toxic and therefore used as bioweapons, calling them war crime level is extreme

I have not. Since you survived and circus peanuts are not being used as bioweaponry, they are not a war crime. I know the statement is more than likely hyperbole

Technically, serving your POWs only circus peanuts could potentially be constituted as a war crime... I think.

Being a Dwarf Fortress player, I'm not exactly an expert on the Geneva Convention.

I am an expert on how little I care to adhere to the Geneva convention during play.

Do countries IRL even follow it? Iím not sure if they do or not, It would be nice if they did, but I donít think all of them do.

The Geneva convention specifically mentions giving food unworthy of human consumption to the local populace as cruel and unusual punishment and therefore a war crime. Doomblade187 is absolutely right

If circus peanuts are unfit for human consumption, why are they sold to humans as edible?

There are countries that did not sign it. There are others that did not ratify it. Russia and Japan, respectively.

The convention is still the standard for how those things are reacted to. For instance, Syria signed but did not ratify the convention. We still blew them the hell up a couple years back in retaliation for the use of chemical weapons.

So yeah if we wanted to we could point to the Geneva Convention as a standard and act upon it based on the idea that a government force feeding circus peanuts to a prisoner is a violation of human rights.

Also whatever Taco Bell is allowed to exist. They don't serve food.

Taco Bell serves real food, and it is real good.
