Sounds like you've gotta work on your stabbing game, but other than that good job!

It's not the stabbing, it's being stabbed.

Had my first ever asthma attack during the grading too. Wasn't aware that was an option.

Ouch, that's the really hard bit from everything I've heard... knives are fantastically lousy at defensive stuff :-X

double ouch :-\

Regardless, you worked your tail off and did pretty well from the sound of it. Well fought, and better luck next time!

So when you say you failed the knife part about getting stabbed does that mean you got stabbed, because if so you should go to a hospital.

Erdoğan is not a very intelligent person

This guy, I absolutely hate him. Sometimes it's hard to decide which one I hate more: Erdogan or Putin?

...And now with our country joining NATO, it's like we're bending to every whim of the guy. Just yesterday (or maybe the day before?) there was a demonstration in support of Kurds and they had an effigy of Erdogan... which was confiscated immediately by the riot police and the protesters fined (note: something like that just doesn't happen here, and it's been no problem within the last months to have effigies of other rulers). I thought one of the reasons to join NATO was that we don't have to bend the knee to dictators?

I just keep expecting to see him when I turn a corner.

Just there, on his throne, sleeping.

And now it's empty.

I have all these bowls to clean up. The litter box to empty. The leftover food bags to... do something with.

And the cables... I no longer have to put them away every night or shield them during the day.

I just want to hold him one more time.

Nineteen years, that little rascal. He was a fucking Houdini, I tell you! A fucking ninja. Leave any opening, however small, and he'd be out without a sound, and then you'd be wondering where the hell he was as the train was leaving in half an hour.

I bet he loved it before I moved, before he had to transition to an indoors cat. Bit of a retirement home, I suppose, but even then he gave me heart attacks. Leave the window open, and he'd tempt death himself and jump to the balcony.

I miss him so much. It's all so empty now.

19 years. That's pretty old for a cat that had a life outdoors at some point. I know it doesn't diminish the loss but he got a lot of great years with ya.

Crazy idea though....clean up his stuff and pack it away. It's part of the process, even if you'll get another cat at some point. And while pets are generally said to improve people's quality of life, as a life long pet owner, I found it oddly liberating being without one in my adult life. (Until I rescued one.)

Anyways, sorry for your loss.

Food can be donated to a shelter.

And yeah, 19 years is good for a cat. It's unfortunately the price we pay for the happiness they bring into our lives - They'll eventually leave. But you looked after him, and he had a good life.

I know its pretty tough, but... maybe keep the food and stuff? You might want another cat in the future.

I'm definitely moving out of the old house soon... the other day the neighbour's cat (who was spending hours with me every day for the last year and a half) came in looking for me.

How insane would it be to offer them to catsit their cats during holidays? Both their cats were very fond of me. But that one in particular I feel is going to miss me (and vice versa) :(
