Mac Version?
« on: October 12, 2009, 03:16:29 pm »

As a relatively new DF player I am interested in plating it's poor, broken predecessor but ran into a bit of a snag. It seems that the Toady One did not see fit to make his game Mac-friendly and I was wondering if anyone knew were and if such a version may be found. I thank you for your assistance in this matter.

This one hasn't been updated in years, and DF mac support came with SDL less than a year ago.

Highly unlikely.

I'm playing the Mac Version and I think it's pretty cool. Granted, I've never played the PC.....

Mac version of the original Armok game?

You might be confusing it with the current, more cross-platform Armok II: Dwarf Fortress.

I'm pretty sure he meant Armok I. He did say 'poor, broken predecessor'.
Which it very much is. There is not a Mac version that I know of, and the PC version that I found is stripped and really not worth playing.
