Grandfather

He shot himself in the head yesterday (suicide). We were really close and we always went hunting and fishing together. Lets hope hes in a better place..

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I lost my grandfather to a lung infection when i was thirteen, I was sad for a long time.

When I was 9 through 11, every Christmas my grandpa would start getting joint and lung problems and be hospitalized. When I was twelve, he died on Christmas eve.

I lost my Grandfather last Christmas but suicide is always terrible.

I'm very sorry. I'm sure whatever place he's in, he's

a) having the time of his life (figure of speech, not intended as a joke)
or
b) never going to be unhappy again

Sorry to hear all these sad news.

I lost my grandma four months ago. I am her only grandchild and she was always nice to me. It's sad to see people you love part this world. However, I see death not as an 'end', but a 'liberation'. I believe they all live on in our heart.

sorry that i come here to write this but my grandfather just died 5 hours ago.
he was ill for a few months and the whole family knew that the day he dies would come soon but now that it is finally here it hit us like a brick to the head.
somehow i don't know how to feel, what to say or what to do. thinking back i just now realize how little i know about my grandfather.
i know that he has seen horrible things in ww2, that his mother killed herself, that his brothers betrayed him and made him pay for shit for endless years, that his daughter died in a far away country and that he had to suffer a lot in his last few weeks. but i also know that he loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren and how much he enjoyed reading and learning new thing.
well i feel a bit better after writing all this. i hope its ok to write it here.

Jeez... 09-10 is a horrible year for grandparents. My grandpa died in august. I'm sorry for your loss
