New Year! - A year (or more) long succession game...long turns!
« on: December 31, 2009, 10:49:27 pm »

Here's my idea, if anyone is interested...a succession game with 12/24 turns per real life year, with turns lasting 2 weeks to a month. Anyone up to the challenge? I thought it would be good to build a mega project or something too, if anyone has any ideas..

Also, what do ya'll want on the map?

Turns:

  • Quinn (If anyone else wants to be first, be my guest.)
  • More?

Oh, and Happy New Year! That's what sparked this idea, after all. (I know it's not quite New Years in some time-zones....like mine.)

Sounds interesting. Too bad I'm already taking part in two other games. Maybe I'll join later, if there is room.

So pretty much the opposite of sparkgear? You should probably do it when the next release comes out.

Yeah, I think so too.

This is for people who don't have the time to get a year done in two weeks.

Anyways, what should our maps have, what mods should we use, and should we have a limit to how much a player can play?

And we need to pick a mega mega project.

Mod: It probably depends on 1. Your skill level. and 2. How long you are prepared to wait.

Mega project: An above ground cathedral/temple celebrating the new version/armok. Still your choice.

Limit: Your choice.

Map: Magma and no aquifer. Iron and Flux would be nice. It really depends on how much of a challene you want.

I'm alright, not really a pro, but not a failure either. (At least in vanilla, orcs scare me when you don't turtle.)

And as for the mega project, that sounds cool...will it have a magma moat surrounding a table for sacrifices?

EDIT: Oh, if we do new version we have to wait for mods...hmmmm.
