Just lock this thread. We do not need this blight upon our forums

...What?

I can't tell what "blight" you're referring to, but if I've got the right one in mind, you're joking, right?

Here's hoping. If not, you seem to have forgotten what the entire forum is based around, Org.

And this is... bringing ruin to the forum? Is that what you're saying? All he needs to do is move this and even if he doesn't, the forum isn't going to come crashing down.

I see nothing in your post that coincides with this topic. It's not a plant, is not discolored, wilting or dying (if it were a plant, which it isn't), is not anything like a disease, is not a cause of "impairment, destruction, ruin, or frustration" anymore than that which is fixable by using the move button (and not the lock button) and is not "blighted" or deteriorated to any extent that a simple move (and, I stress again, not a lock) would fix, it's not causing anything to wither or decay, it's not destroying or ruining anything and again moving the topic will end frustration and help continue the topic in a meaningful way, and nobody is suffering blight from reading this topic.

So, what? How is this a blight in anyway that requires it to be locked?

I could see how this conversation could potentially spiral into a flaming wreck, but really, Actually no, we're better than that. All that's happened so far really is a brief discussion on alternate definitions of consort. And while we're on the subject of that and copypasting dictionary.com,

Well it could be a Consort in terms of being an official "Buddy" of the Duke.
That's not what 'consort' means, Neonivek.
Quote from: dictionary.com
con⋅sort
noun

...

4: a companion, associate, or partner: a confidant and consort of heads of state.

As such, no gay dwarf. Not necessarily, at least.

I shall say no more on the matter to prevent spiralling wreckhood.

Yes, a consort is more a second in command that's usually very close to the Duke. Not close in a gay way, simply close as is normal for two people who work together so much. And as there's no way to check a dwarfs sexual preferences, we're forced to assume he's not gay.

You could probably follow him around if you were really interested.

So . . .

Do we have screenshots of this?  Was this your first duke/duchess?  If not, are you sure that wasn't the old duchess' consort?

Are you sure that the non-consort is a duke and not a duchess?  I know that the queen will in some cases be announced as a King, in certain screens and announcements.  Maybe that's what's happened here?

Yeah, Make sure your actual ruler is male.

Otherwise, this is the first I've seen it.

We have still not received word on the relationships page, unless I missed it while skimming over the overreaction to Org.

I'm honestly a little surprised at some of you:

but whatever. Let's keep it somewhat nice, ok?

Tinypic is being a pain so the screenshot will have to wait a bit. The relationship screen says "Husband." Also the Dwarf's personal info page says "married to."

I've still got finals to study for.
