Who needs Therapist with the new organizational tools coming out?

Burrows, Zones... I guess you guys never play Myst and similer with the good ol' note keeping tools, Pen and Paper.

And that makes it easier to manage 150+ dwarves....how?

Therapist allows you not to click v-l-"+"-"+"-enter 10 times for each dwarf but rather make the desired change with a few clicks (or a single click if you operate a group) so your mentioning of Pen and Paper has nothing to do with productivity.

For sure you dont need dwarf therapist to play the game, but dwarf therapist is like heroine, once you try it, its hard to get rid of the addiction.

Well dwarf therapist make the dwarf management sooo faster and you can also see who do what exactly at a glance, its soo much easier AND faster to have dwarf therapist with you. What took me 5 minute to re-set some labor in a 100 dwarf fortress now take me nearly 30 minute... if not more.

All praise to your wife and i hope to see the program soon.

it's the same but this one was more improved than the other one for the last DF version + d## for using the DF hack stuff.
the other is "just" dwarf therapist and has be temp fixed for the newest DF version.

basically, ignore this one for a long time

When i try and run on Ubtunu 9.10 I get this:

undefined symbol: _ZN9QHashData14detach_helper2EPFvPNS_4NodeEPvEPFvS1_Eii

Any idea wtf that means?

Hi Spectral, I got the same thing and eventually figured out, it means that DwarfTherapist was compiled with a different version of Qt than what you have installed. I managed to fix it by upgrading to Qt 4.6.2 - now I have DwarfTherapist (DFHack-0.1.2) and DF 40d19 running natively on Linux, it's fantastic!

For me (With linux/df 40d19) dwarf therapist 0.1.2 hangs on startup using the included libdfconnect.so and Memory.xml, but works fine using the files from http://github.com/peterix/dfhack/raw/master/precompiled/linux/libdfconnect.so and http://github.com/peterix/dfhack/raw/master/output/Memory-40d.xml
Both need to be changed for it to work.
