One time I was so delirious I named my feet and came up with a weird narrative for them.  I've forgotten most of it.

...I did that last week.

But on a more serious note, it doesn't help for us to fret ourselves into the ground. We aren't in any position to do anything and we can only wait until we're further updated before we know his condition. I'm sure he'll be alright and my prayers go with him.

I had the flu more than once in my life, and never I was so sick as to be unable to at least sit in a computer for a few minutes. I fear he had to be taken to a hospital or something as such.

I had the flu earlier this year.  I probably should have gone to the hospital.  I don't remember chunks of that week and suffered maddening fever dreams.  Fortunately, I had just started playing Dwarf Fortress, so I spent a lot of time doing that. 

Unfortunately, I had just started playing Dwarf Fortress, so my fever dreams involved squashing ascii characters in this ridiculous endless game.  I started with a square that I could unfold in any orthogonal direction to squash the characters.  Over time, the shape got huge.  In my delirium I was trying to hold as much of the shape in my mind as possible while continuing to play.  It was torture that haunted me upon waking.

Very possible, but this year's flu strain is also exceptionally bad-ass. I've avoided it myself, but I've had two friends catch it - both were confined to bed for more than a week. I wouldn't be surprised if Toady is out for the another couple of days, or even another week if he's unlucky.

Toady has come down with the flu and has been sick for a couple days.  There will be no dev update tonight, but hopefully the future will be brighter tomorrow!

I had the flu a month or two ago. my delirium was that I'm on a space ship and one of the crew members is mysteriously killed. Murder was punished by "ejection" out of the space ship for (obvious) certain death and everyone suspected me, yet I didn't remember anything. In the end I started to suspect myself so I got really frightened for my life and every time I closed my eyes I returned to that place and felt like shit...

Had no idea who is that, googled her. I didn't watch battlestar galactica so I don't understand the reference.
