Temples!

Squeegy:
You should be able to build temples. They take up the space of a workshop and need  a statue. Not exactly sure on what they do, perhaps make dwarves happier, 'Sacrifice' option that's like a butcher? Priest dwarves? Anyway, people will 'Pray' at it.code:

Repeatedly suggested and if you read the dev notes, I'm almost certain its in there as Toady has been adding temples to the Histories generation (and I assume to adventure mode) recently, read the change log.

Capntastic:
Not every building in the world needs to be a 'workshop'.I see temples being a designated room type, perhaps.  Which makes more sense.
