Halp.
Motivational tips etc. I know I should get up/do that/do this, but I can't be bothered.
Also, I realise that most of you either a) don't know me or b) hate me, but I'd appreciate any help.

What you need to do, is stop worrying. Accept your lazy side. You don't need to get up and do anything. So you'll have a simple and uneventful and ambitionless life. So what? You like having a life like that. At least you like it more than putting up an effort. So yeah, don't worry, just chill out.

another thing I need advice for.
I have a "friend" who gets depressed every once in a while, but I honestly have no idea how to help, which leads me to feel pretty bad too, any ideas?

Get serious. If you like to use your "potential", then stop whining and use it. If you feel like you enjoy doing nothing more than working towards something, then stop fooling yourself and your family/aquaintances.
