Another MSPA reader, perhaps?  I'd wondered why I hadn't seen anyone say that date yet.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

I figured the FotF thread would get to around 750 pages at release. I submit to failure.

At least it meant I got my thesis done.

Anyhow, I shall now predict April 18th at 4:15pm, just because I've also predicted that time shall be the first +20C moment of this year at our local weather station contest. Hopefully a lot of Euro bets are made, as my $5CAN isn't worth as much to toady.

I'll take February 29th. Heh.

Technically my date hasn't ended yet :P But I was planning on donating anyhow, so I'll go have a word with my bank accounts.

I lol'd at somebody calling out pessimism for suggesting a February release.

ed- Actually, that reminds me, a month or so ago when I was answering some questions in Gameplay Questions, someone had ignorantly answered "just wait for the new version" to a newbie's question. I answered the question and told the other guy that we'd be lucky to see it before March, and he responded "no its expected to be out by the end of the week." Ohohoho.

Hmm. I vote march 12th. Apparently hell is also freezing over on that day.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

I second April 13th.

If I had extra money, I would bet 413 cents.   ;)

Feb 7th, because it's my birthday and we all know Toady cares about some random asshole who visits like once a month or two

My birthday was, and is on the seventh of February as well.

I bet april 29 2010.

March 27.  I can't bring myself to name an April date, much less a May date.

I like this thread. It shows that we have been expecting the new version of dwarf fortress 'any day now' for the last couple months =P
