I really like the game-into-story "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Zombie Troll", and part of what I liked about it was how some of the dwarves were aware of some of the absurd elements of the game, like quantum stockpiling, pumping magma through wooden pipes, and smoothing stone without any tools.  So I was wondering if there were any other stories or fan fiction like that out there, including stories where the dwarves aren't aware of how absurd things like quantum stockpiling is, but the silliness of it still comes through.
