Thanks! I got that coat a few years ago. I thought it might be too formal at first, and didn't wear it much for a while, but recently I've rather come to like it.

Link a bit nonfunctional there: don't think BBCode takes that kind of image file left in that way.

Darn, sniped before I fixed it. Replaced it with a flat link to the file. Went incognito right after to check and it seems you can't img src google drive files.

Found this little guy while walking today.
Spoiler: For size (click to show/hide)

Watched it nibble berries for a little while before moving on. It wasn't in the least bit concerned about my presence, it did however try to hide when someone walked behind me.

Khan, I couldn't work out quite what the focal point of that image was when you first posted it, and I still cannot now. Could you tell me where I supposed to be looking?
I've been internetting on my phone, see, and it doesn't zoom very well.

Pretty much dead center of the photo. Small brown furred rodent, Dormouse to be precise. Dormice being endangered in the UK.

You can see the vertical branch with graffiti behind? Look almost directly below that. Small round ball of fur.

Ah, I see! Well, vaguely.
Very cute!

I've seen a mouse hanging around in front of the train station near my house on a couple of occasions, but it makes for a far less scenic view than that.

I recently built my first computer!

For those curious, this is my build . The wireless adapter listed has been replaced, however.

Also, this is the bedside computer desk I'm using. It took awhile to find something that would work and wasn't super expensive, but I'm very happy with it now.

My new personal space, in the basement of our new home.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Yeah, the flooring needs to be replaced.  It was really gross, and I spent 5 hours cleaning it when we moved in just get it looking like that.  Though I guess it doesn't look too bad in the photo.

Floor looks fine to me, yeah.  I dig the cat figures in particular!
Mm, makes me want a proper computer desk instead of my ancient writing desk.  Cabinet space would be nice.

You also remind me that I require more bookshelves.  I did not move all these books for them *not* to be displayed!

I am jelly/inspired by your nice setup.

My wife nabbed the desk off Facebook market for $100 shortly before we moved.  It was a great find.

The cats are memento of my great grandmother.  They always stuck out to me as the most prominently displayed items she had, even in her nursing home room all the way to the end.  Plus, I just love cats.  So they're the one thing I asked for after she passed.

One of the benefits of having a forest as a background, other than learning first-hand to face blood sucking leeches, blood sucking mosquitos, having moulds everywhere, having pollen everywhere, and having ants everywhere, is the diversity of life you hear everyday--today, I found a small mantis in the most unusual of ways.

I was playing on my laptop in the corner of the living room, with the room enclosed but able to see the forest through windows. It is 9:30pm, and my laptop is on a desk with a lamp for added work aid. I saw something climb up the lamp (it's structured as a desk lamp, with a stretchy neck), and I thought it was a spider or something, because it was brown or deep orange in color, or one of those bloody fire ants which seem self-aware and huge :I (it was around near an inch).

But it was different, and I felt it was what it was because of its little arms.
It was probably the tiniest mantis I have ever seen, and unexpectedly because all I know of mantises are they are green.

Another awesome thing, was that my desk lamp acts like a 'cliff edge', as in the pinnacle of everything on my desk, so to see something over there is both very eye-catchingly obvious, and quite isolated in its journey from the only connection to anywhere else--the floor.
For ease of viewing, link to the imgur album in full. (Shows all pics)

As a total aside, I am very happy I have tried training my hands/fingers ambidexterity. Holding a large phone and shooting that mantis is quite difficult. It's nice to discover the limit of focus for a camera.
