So I'm pretty new to Adventure mode, and promptly after spawning in a mead hall, some mace lord told me to go kill some giant in some cave. Never turning down a challenge, I walked over to the cave, quite oddly shaped(I think, or maybe its just my first time discovering a cave) and turns out that a brood of GCS inhabit it. The first one I encountered and killed without doing anything, since it got me off guard and I pretty much just counterstruck it to death, in like a few hits. Pictures in spoiler below

So is it me or do 1 tile corridors turn them relatively harmless? Oh and the next one I bumped into killed me, if anyone's interested.

Welcome in Adventure Mode.

You had just lucky dodge/counterattack/evade rolls.

Theoretically, a kitten can kill a titan. It's just matter of luck.

I had a similar run in with 3 GCS in one cave, killed 2, died from the third, and I was no epic adventurer either... just had a few buddies.

Reminds me of the time I saw my first Adv. mode GCS. Boy was I terrified.
