Great game, Toady.

I like the way that cloth/thread items dyed a colour will display as that colour when sitting on the ground. I think it would be useful if the text for the cloth/thread in the inventory lists of buildings/containers/dwarves would also be of a specific colour depending on the dye used rather than the default yellow text for all items. That way at a glance you could see which pieces are dyed and what colour, rather than having to Enter + v.

I'm not sure if it would strain the eyes terribly to have alternating green and blue and red text in a list but if that is a problem perhaps instead a small coloured symbol of some sort next to the plain text would work just as well.

I'll also note that the title of built rope restraints display their colour under the "q" and "t" building views and that's basically what I am suggesting for inventory lists.
