What is the benefit of having a masterpiece armor or weapon, as compared to a normal quality one?

I'd like to get answer to that, and further to these two related questions:

Is a masterwork wooden shield always worse than non-special shield made of better material (like bronze)?

Could we get a table of materials that shows how good they are in weapons/armor. Steel -> Iron -> Bronze -> ?
EDIT: I found the answers elsewhere.
133% Steel (and obsidian)
100% Iron
75% Bronze
66% Copper
50% Everything else

It'd still be nice to have it somewhere in the manual.

i'm presuming value corresponds to effectiveness, of course.

Not with Silver... And if that's off, anything else could be as well. But as edited on my post, I found it elsewhere.

Speaking of materials, do silver items have any extra effect on lycanthropes?

Not yet, AFAIK. It might be a bloat on the to-do list.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
