This must be an interesting place if the barkeep's first reaction is to try an ad sell us drinks sand not to, say, demand proof we aren't demons or throw us out for driving off business.

In his mind, if you managed to get to Haltar without being eaten by zombies you could help out the town. And the door guard was his son, who inherited his trustingness.
