I have an african grey as a pet, and they are supposed to be really easy to breed... it's just that they're big birds, and you need a lot of space.  I actually inherited her from the widow of a man who was once the largest african grey breeder in the west coast of the United States.  She's 16 and will likely live another 50 years or so.

I breed my doves for the hell of it. My sun conures lay eggs but don't incubate them. They are also murderous, multicolored bastards. My parakeets would breed if I gave them a nest box. My other bird is a patagonian conure. The one in my avatar. He is bald and emo. And no, I do not breed my birds for meat and bones, they are vermin sized.
