A target selection during combat. My liberals have the bad habit of shooting the college student while fighting the security guards

seconded.

The mercenary is probably a more dangerous target then the teen who just pissed his pants.

It's a carryover from obliette I think?
Anyhow, you think that's bad? How about when your liberal accidentally shoots at the green secretary instead of shooting that red security guard?

I think the "randomness" in combat is in fact an actual feature.

In fact, I believe your chances of accidentally shooting a non-conservative are directly based on your character's weapon skill, and perhaps the accuracy of the weapon.

Althought a toggle for prioritizing targets might be useful
Example:
What should the squad's first target be?
[X] Arch-Conservatives
[] Conservatives with Guns
[] Police officers
[] Conservatives with Armor
[] Moderate scum...choose a side already!<-----JOKE
[] Just shoot any Conservative

And then maybe a second and third screen for second and third priorities.

Like other games with target systems, perhaps the squad members get a penalty for targeting specific Conservatives, and a bonus for targeting any conservative...and maybe an even greate bonus for not worrying about non-conservatives....

A new location in the Commercial district. The Mall. It isn't a store but a wide open area to do mischief.

Pickpocketing?

YES. WE NEED A MALL.

I think it fits the theme pretty well.

I wouldn't do this the way it's requested, because it would slooooow dooooown combat with extra prompts, and the chaos of the fighting is, as EuchreJack says, a feature. However, I might make the target selection algorithm more "intelligently weighted" toward dangerous targets than it is now.

I should point out that your characters already do prioritize targets fairly intelligently, they just don't ALWAYS shoot at their top priority enemies.

Better equipment management. I'm happy with a lot of the updates (namely that you can pawn equipment without equipping you dudes with all the loot AND how extra equipment not just goes back to the stockpile so you don't have "squad equipment" anymore.)

However, one thing that irritates me is that in order to manage the equipment of my "non-active liberals" (i.e. the ones not in squads) I have to put them in a squad first.

How about a new issue: Welfare.

C++: An indentured servant system is in place. If a person cannot pay their bills they are enslaved to their creditor.
C+: There is no welfare.
C: Welfare exists but is poorly funded and difficult to access.
M: Welfare exists for those who need it.
L:  Welfare is well funded but still has strict access.
L+: Welfare is well funded and easily accessible.

Yes, another problem is that sometimes equipment is broken up into many groups of the same thing. For instance, when I press E button, I can see Clothes x 10, clothes x 5, Clothes (b) x 3... better if they grouped together.

Even more irritating is R-8... after killing off 3 raids on my safehouse, I had thousands of rifle clips. And when I pressed R-8 to shift them, there were 4 pages of rifle clips!!!
That was bad. Group them into 1 group, please.

As Prague previously mentioned, the fact that there is no way to access equipment from the stat page is painful, requiring placing liberals in squads to give them guns/armor.  Essentially it forces the creation of squads to defend bases, at least for the minutes it takes for weapon distribution.

Make it stop disbanding squads after a successful base defence?

Oh, also, I would like an option to stop the grindiness of recruiting. Option: quick recruitment on.
Effect: You meet a liberal musician. Talk. Options: a. talk about issues, b. dating, c. don't talk, d. talk about issues, then find 5 other liberal musicians and talk about issues to them.

That would reduce a LOT of grind! AARGH. When I am trying to hire authors, it's especially bad.

Of course, only make this available in public areas, when no one is suspicious.
