My dream is to have game which use turnbased toribashi like combat system. Partialy scripted character behaviour like on endorphine engine. Character stands moves and reacts on enviroment by itself. The moves would be controled by players relaying on postprocedural generated animations to blend in with the endorphine scripted characters motorics.  ...drool.

Spoiler: Mass Effect Ending (click to show/hide)

There wasn't much of a cliff-hanger though.

Heh, now I'm trying to make a combat mechanic that is good for fighting WITHOUT player participation. It's for a game about adventurer's guild, where you train, equip and send characters to missions, but they fight by themselves.

That'd be cool, but it's hard to walk 20 meters in Toribash, much less through an entire world.

I know, cause toribashi are ragdolls and im talking about endorphine engine/euforia (dont really know the difference) which is combination of artifical inteligence, biomechanics and physics. More to this this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoES90f-0pk.
The basic motions (stance, movement...) and selfpreservation reactions would by handeled by the engine the fighting moves would by controled by player.

If you're going to be all smug about something at least make sure you don't prove yourself wrong in the same post.  I just forgot to put a / in the closing [spoiler]  Of course it still started with [spoiler=Mass Effect Ending] so anyone with half a brain would have stopped reading then if they didn't want anything spoiled. :P

It no big spoiler though.  Mass Effect ends like every other Bioware game ever.  You get into an Epic battle with, and kill, the BBEG, and then everyone loves you.
