Most Epic Goblin?
« on: March 17, 2010, 07:38:58 pm »

Is there currently a Most Epic Goblin in the Dwarf Fortress Community?

Do people actually care about Goblins?

If there is a most epic Goblin, can I contest this position with a more epic Goblin?

I know We've got Tholtig, Cacame, and.. Uh.. Yeah.

I'm posting this in Adventure Section because I'd most likely try to have an adventurer goblin take that position, with his own awesome Narrative, if people would want that.

So yeah, get back to me with answers and what not. ^^;

You can't have player controlled awesomeness. Period.

Something heavily subject to exploit abuse and savescumming is less prone to be awesome, and things lose a lot of their charm and kickassery when they are directly created and controlled by one of us.

Because Players do plenty of cool things anyway.

Cacame wouldn't be as cool if he killed all those elves in adventure mode, and neither would Tholtig.

Just do some searching in legends.

Oh, I see. That makes sense. =/

The goblin I've been playing for a few days hasn't died yet, mostly by luck and a lot of trees.

Then I shall go about trying to create an epic Goblin via world gen. >.>

Nineteen: You're right. O:

I think we need an epic Goblin Legend, so I'll work on finding one.

I'm obviously the most epic goblin around here...   But that's probably not what you were referring to.

Yeah, goblins don't really do anything interesting.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Be my guest.  It's always an honor to have something sigged.

And I think the main reason goblins don't do anything interesting these days is because they seem far more capable of working through their problems with other people now that wars are caused by differences in opinion.

I mean, seriously.  They're immortal like elves, and they have access to iron armor and weaponry.  They're slightly smaller, but elves have a penalty to how much damage they can take, so it evens out somewhat (even though elves still deal more damage, they don't have the advanced materials).
